1) If the user wishes to send a memo to his/her friend who
has a registered nick called MyFriend, he/she would type:
/memoserv SEND MyFriend I will be at your birthday party.
2) If the user wishes to send a memo to all the channel
operators of #Sibuop, he/she would type:
/memoserv SEND #Sibuop Let's have a Kampua party :)
Special requirements
The user must use the registered nick and identified to
NickServ before using the SEND command. The recipient of
the memo must also be a registered nick in order to receive
the memo.
An user who wishes to SEND memo to channel Operators
must have access in that channel or at least an AOp.
Pending on the minimum level of channel access required by
the channel Founder to allow user to send memos to channel
operators, all channel operators by default may send memos
to all channel operators. If the channel Founder sets the
channel MEMO setting to SOp, then only Founder and SOps
may SEND memos to all channel operators.
Each memo must not be longer than 255 characters inclusive
of spacing.
Comments
The memo should be short messages in nature. Since not
everybody likes to receive a lot of memos, messages should
be relevant and useful to the recipients.
