                        Ghost

Command syntax:

   /nickserv GHOST nick nickPassword

 

Command description

 

When a user is disconnected from the network unexpectedly,

IRC server may not register the disconnection immediately

and continue to maintain the user's nick as if he/she is still

online. In this case, the "surviving" nick is known as "ghost"

nick. The GHOST command allow the user to become the 

ghostbuster of his/her disconnected nick by identifying to

NickServ with the correct password.

This command is often being used by nick owner to disconnect 

other users who are using the registered nick.

 

Command examples

 

   /nickserv GHOST nice^nick go0DPassword

   /nickserv GHOST nice^nick

Special requirement

There is no special requirement.

 

Comments

 

If the user has the current user@host.mask on the ACCESS list,

then nick password is not required.
