                      Recover

Command syntax:

   /nickserv  RECOVER  nick  nickPassword

Command description

The RECOVER command allows the user to reclaim

his/her nick if someone else is using it. This command

will summon Enforcer to temporarily take over the

nick into custody. The Enforcer will hold this nick for

two (2) minutes before releasing it.

Command examples

   /nickserv  RECOVER  nice^nick  go0DPassword

   /nickserv  RECOVER  nice^nick

Special requirement

There is no special requirement.

Comments

If the user has the current user@host.mask on the ACCESS list,

then nick password is not required. To release the nick from

Enforcer, the user can use the RELEASE command to free the

nick and claim usage of the nick. All this trouble can be avoided

if user set his/her nick with the option "ENFORCE ON".
